Hoffman & Tranel, PC is seeking an individual to fill a Bookkeeping Staff position.  

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Maintain accounts by verifying, allocating and posting transactions
  • Balance accounts by reconciling entries
  • Maintain general ledger, verifying balance sheet with account balances
  • Maintain historical records by filing documents
  • Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying and enforcing adherence to requirements, filing reports, advising management on needed actions
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing additional tasks as needed

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Prior bookkeeping experience preferred
  • Ability to plan and organize to meet required deadlines
  • Problem solving analysis
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping practices
  • Ability to analyze financial information
  • Ability to deal with complexity
  • Possess data entry skills
  • Attention to detail
  • The ability to effectively communicate and provide customer service
